International Patient Safety Initiative

Breast Implant Safety Survey : MOTIVA

Most victims of the PIP implant criminal fraud will already realise some of their reported immune, endocrine and neurological symptoms are shared with women with other brands of silicone breast implants.   GPAC is a global advocacy which provides research, information and support for all women affected by silicone breast implants.  We can help them to collect real world data for large international patient safety initiatives, by completing any relevant Patient Safety Initiative Surveys.  This one is specifically for any women with experience of  MOTIVA branded breast implants.

For many of us, any reminder of the trauma we have survived with implants triggers uncomfortable thoughts and feelings.

Often the opportunity to recall the events and record the details becomes an important part of the recovery process.

This is a patient safety initiative for women with breast implants,  by women who have first hand experience of breast implants.  We understand the challenges for women who find themselves sick or disabled or battling a new cancer diagnosis due to implants.  With your help, our efforts will ensure better support,  trusted information and guidance is available to all.

If you have or have had experience of Motiva Implants, please take part.  If you have been affected by a different brand, or combination of brands, including surgical mesh or scaffolds, we will have future Implant Safety Initiatives that will be more relevant to you.  All your help and support for these campaigns are HUGELY appreciated.

Whether you have or had MOTIVA breast implants or not, anyone experiencing adverse reactions or new symptoms or worsening symptoms with breast implants should report to their national regulatory authorities.  You can find more details on the links below.
