On Friday 27 July 2012 PIP Action Campaign submitted evidence to the Department of Health, challenging the quality of the data and conclusions of the Keogh Expert Group Report published 18 June 2012. Stating that although the implants have a higher rupture rate than many other implants, they are not toxic or a risk to health, even recommending that women with ruptured PIP implants continue to breast feed with them!
